Melissa Ricks got married to her non-showbiz boyfriend, Michael Macatangay, in a ceremony in the United States, attended by her family.
“Fun with the family!” Almost all of my relatives are based in the United States. Glad to have celebrated with them,” the actress said in one of her Instagram Stories yesterday, May 24. She showed a video of herself dancing with loved ones in what appears to be a garden while wearing her wedding dress.

Ricks later showed off a selfie of her and Macatangay wearing their wedding rings and another photo that showed them kissing in front of a wall of white roses, also via her Instagram Stories on the same day.

Ricks had proudly discussed her life as a single mother through her social media accounts and called Macatangay an “answered prayer” on her birthday in 2019.
The couple got engaged in August last year at an intimate reunion with the actress’ friends and family in Batangas.
Shortly after their engagement was announced, Ricks revealed that she had been praying for someone like her who feared God and would love her and her daughter Kiera. She also recounted the day she entered the church and met Macatangay. /ra
