Bollywood actress Neena Gupta recently launched her autobiography Sach Kahun Toh and has spoken about various chapters of her life, both professional and personal. Neena Gupta, who has been in the movie business for so long, revealed in her book that the couch casting is a real thing in showbiz, but clarified that she has never met him. However, the veteran actress opened up about an incident in her book when a producer sought sexual favors in exchange for a role in a movie, but she turned down her advance.
Here is the paragraph from her autobiography: “A friend of mine once told me to go visit a producer who was a big southern hat. He was visiting for a few days and was staying at the Sun-n-Sand Hotel. arrived at the hotel, I called the producer from a phone in the lobby. “Yes, yes, I was expecting you,” he said. “Come upstairs.”
“So what’s my role, sir?” I finally asked him when he stopped to catch his breath. “The heroine’s friend,” he said.
